Before the kids go back to school, let's all go back to "l'ecole" for some great wines from Washington state!

The name “L’Ecole № 41,” French for “the school” in district 41, honors the French-Canadian settlers who pioneered viticulture in the Walla Walla Valley in the 1800s. By the 1860s, vineyards, nurseries and winemaking were integral to the valley’s growing economy. One hundred years would pass before the seeds of contemporary winemaking took root in the Walla Walla Valley, and this schoolhouse stands among those modern trailblazers as one of the earliest symbols of their efforts.

L’Ecole № 41 is a third-generation, family-owned winery located in the historic Frenchtown School depicted on our label. One of the oldest wineries in Washington - Founded in 1983 by Jean and Baker Ferguson as a retirement project, we were the third winery established in the Walla Walla Valley. From their earliest days, they’ve held fast to the belief that Washington wines could rival the best of the Old World. Today, they are one of the most prominent Washington wineries in both national and key global markets. Joining us to tell you all about the vineyard, the schoolhouse, and the wines will be Matt Rice - National Sales Manager - for the winery. Matt has been with L'Ecole No 41 since 2019 and is certain to have lots of interesting stories and fun facts from his time there.

If you'd like to join us to eat, drink, and meet Matt we'd love to have you join us! Tickets for this event are just $60/person and will include 5 wines: 2 whites and 3 reds. Each of those will be paired with a complimentary dish prepared by the team here at Vom Fass. Keep in mind the seating is limited to just 24 people, so that attendees will have plenty of time to interact with Matt while enjoying their meal. Note: If you'd like to be seated with another group who has signed up separately, we'd be grateful if you inform us a day or two prior to the event. This really helps us out when it comes to planning the seating arraignment.

Refund Policy: If notified 72 hours or more before the event we are happy to provide guests with a full refund of your ticket price (Eventbrite will not refund any fees). If you should need to cancel in less than 72 hours, we can either roll your tickets over into a different event or offer you a store credit for the ticket price (which will not include Eventbrite fees).
