The Lake Chalet Seafood Bar & Grill in Oakland will host Lakeside with Rombauer: A Wine Dinner on the Water on Thursday, April 30 beginning at 6:30 PM. Guests will be able to enjoy, while overlooking Lake Merritt, four courses from Executive Chef Lev Delany, each of which will be paired with a 2024 Chardonnay, Carneros; 2023 Pinot Noir, Santa Lucia Highlands; 2022 Cabernet Sauvignon, Napa Valley; or 2022 Joy Late Harvest Chardonnay. The prix fixe meal is priced at $130.00 per person excluding tax and gratuity and will include Dungeness Crab Ravioli, Roasted Asparagus with Prosciutto, Herb-Roasted Saddle of Lamb, and an Apricot Galette. Rombauer Vineyards was established in 1980 in Napa Valley and the acclaimed winery remains owned by multiple generations of a family that included Irma Rombauer who originally authored the renowned cookbook Joy of Cooking. California-style Chardonnay and Cabernet Sauvignon are hallmarks for their distinctive, fruit-driven expressions of these varieties and more.
