Kriola Café: Founding Taster Pop-Up at The Community Room

Welcome to Kriola Café’s Founding Taster Pop-Up at The Community Room.

Kriola Café is a Cabo Verdean-inspired café concept rooted in café, culture, and morabeza. Morabeza is the warmth, kindness, generosity, and welcoming spirit of Cabo Verdean hospitality. It is the feeling of being welcomed like family.

This first pop-up is free to attend and open to everyone. Guests are welcome to stop by, enjoy the atmosphere, take photos, learn more about Kriola Café, and purchase full-size drinks at the venue.

For guests who want the complete tasting experience, a limited number of Build Your Own Flight tickets will be available. Each flight includes four tasting-size drinks of your choice from our available latte, matcha, and refresher menu.

Drinks will be prepared in limited batches. Once a flavor sells out, it will not be available for the remainder of the event. Arrive early for the widest selection.

Guests will also be invited to vote for their favorite flavors, nominate someone for Kriola of the Month, and be part of the beginning of Kriola Café.

Come sip, connect, celebrate culture, and experience a first taste of Kriola Café.

Kriola of the Month

At this first pop-up, Kriola Café will also introduce Kriola of the Month, a monthly community spotlight celebrating someone who embodies morabeza: warmth, kindness, generosity, culture, and community.

Guests will be invited to nominate someone who deserves to be recognized. The selected Kriola of the Month may receive a Kriola Café feature, a small thank-you gift, and a special invitation to future Kriola Café moments.

This is one more way Kriola Café celebrates people, culture, and community.
