Join us at Central Market for a special culinary journey into the heart of Filipino cuisine, led by our own Hudson Malabanan and Leo Jacobo. This collaborative class celebrates heritage, storytelling, and the vibrant diversity of flavors found across the Philippines.

Drawing from his Filipino roots, Hudson will introduce students to a selection of culturally iconic dishes from several different regions of the Philippines. As he guides you through each recipe, he’ll share the history, traditions, and cultural significance behind the dishes—offering an approachable, engaging look at how food reflects the country’s geography, community, and identity.

Throughout the class, you’ll discover the wide range of flavors, ingredients, and cooking styles that make Filipino cuisine so beloved—from comforting classics to regional specialties that highlight the Philippines’ rich culinary landscape. With Leo supporting the experience from the Cooking School, students will enjoy a welcoming, well‑rounded introduction to dishes that are both meaningful and delicious.

Whether you’re new to Filipino food or eager to deepen your appreciation, this Central Market class offers a flavorful, story‑driven exploration of a cuisine shaped by history, family, and tradition. You'll enjoy a glass of French wine that has been paired with the meal.

• At check-in, you will be asked to sign a waiver before entering the Cooking School.

• For that reason, we ask that all attendees arrive at least 5 minutes prior to the confirmed start time of the class.
