In 1976, a blind tasting with French experts in Paris sent shockwaves through the wine world when California wines surpassed France’s most celebrated producers. Dubbed the ‘Judgement of Paris’ by Time magazine journalist George Taber, the stunning results suddenly bestowed enormous respect upon and interest in California wine, eventually paving the way for explosive growth in the decades that followed. Fifty years later, Spiritus is paying honor to this epic event and this time YOU are the judge!

Join us for a fun-filled evening as we pour four concealed whites from Burgundy and California, and four reds from Bordeaux and Napa Valley. You will have the opportunity to sample each wine and, if you wish, to assign your own grade to them. The wines will then be revealed and the scores tallied to determine how our own Spiritus community of judges rank the bottles.
