This year marks the 50 year anniversary of the Judgement of Paris tasting. To celebrate Americas Bicentennial Steve Spurrier, owner of Academy du Vin in Paris selected 10 wines from California and pitted them against 10 wines from from some of the best Chateaus in France. The wines were tasted blind and all the judges were French. To everyone’s amazement Chateaus Montelena and Stag’s Leap Wine Cellars took first place in both categories.On Saturday we will present wines from those two wineries along with selections from Free Market Abbey,Clos du Val,Ridge Cellars and Chalone Winery. Don’t miss this truly special event.
