Honoring America's 250th Anniversary Through Exceptional Bourbon. The Bourbon Resolution (formally Senate Concurrent Resolution 19) is a historic 1964 act of the United States Congress. It officially declared bourbon whiskey to be a "distinctive product of the United States," placing it in the same globally protected category as Scotch whisky and French Cognac. The landmark resolution provided vital legal and trade protections for America's native spirit.
