It’s time to get your hands messy! In our hands-on format, our Scuola Chef will guide you through how to prepare 2 iconic plates from Rome

About this Class:

Travel to Rome without ever having to leave your kitchen! Join us as we take a culinary journey to Rome and explore culinary traditions from the region.

About the Dishes:

Pasta alla Gricia is a Roman classic known for its rich, savory flavors and simple preparation. Often considered the ancestor of Amatriciana, this dish features pasta tossed with crispy guanciale (cured pork cheek), sharp Pecorino Romano cheese, and freshly cracked black pepper. With just a handful of high-quality ingredients, Pasta alla Gricia highlights the beauty of traditional Roman cooking, where simplicity and technique create unforgettable flavor.

Tiramisù is one of Italy’s most beloved desserts, known for its rich yet airy texture and bold coffee flavor. This classic treat is made with layers of espresso-soaked ladyfingers, creamy mascarpone cheese, eggs, and sugar, then finished with a dusting of cocoa powder. With its perfect balance of sweetness, coffee, and creaminess, Tiramisù is a timeless example of the elegance and simplicity of Italian desserts.

In this Class You Will:

  • Learn about the traditions and culture of Rome
  • Observe as our Scuola Chef teaches the group how to make Pasta alla Gricia.
  • Make your own Pasta alla Gricia and Tiramisù.
