Join us for four days of hands-on activities, shared meals, and resource sharing designed to build a stronger intertribal food system.
Intertribal Harvest Gathering

This event is organized by the Ho-Chunk Nation Department of Agriculture, Great Lakes Intertribal Food Coalition, Wisconsin Tribal Conservation Advisory Council, and supported by UW-Madison partners. Scroll down to see full agenda.

9/23: Agroforestry Tour (Savanna Institute, Spring Green)

Meet us at the Savanna Institute in Spring Green (~45 minutes from Baraboo) for a half-day Agroforestry Tour. Afternoon snacks and dinner included.

9/24: Tribal Producer Conference (Ho-Chunk Gaming Wisconsin Dells)

Day 1 is all about connecting Tribal producers to resources to build their capacity to grow food for Tribal communities. Sessions will include Food Is Medicine, Tribal Producer Resources, and Business Builder. After dinner, watch the premiere of of Ha'ų Hanįhawi (We Continue On), about the Ho-Chunk Department of Agriculture. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner included.

9/25: Finding Your Place in Our Intertribal Food System (Ho-Chunk House of Wellness)

The morning general session will cover what's happening in Tribal agriculture and highlight Tribal business that are building our Tribal food economy. In the afternoon, choose between Traditional Practices, Business Builder workshops, or head to the field for an Indigenous Producer Academy. After dinner, join us for a Mini Pow Wow. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner included.

9/26: Community Day (Ho-Chunk House of Wellness)

Bring your family for all day hands-on activities for all ages including Traditional Practices and Food Sovereignty. We'll end the day with a seed exchange and door prizes for those who stay all the way to the end. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner included.

Attendee Registration

Purchase tickets for the whole event or single day tickets. Rates are lower for students and free for children under 12.

Indigenous Expo: Resource Fair and Indigeneous Arts Vendors

In the Indigenous Expo area, Indigenous arts vendors will be selling arts and crafts and exhibitors will share resources for Indigenous farmers and producers. Vendors and exhibitors must purchase vendor tickets only (do not also buy regular tickets) through this page to reserve space in the Expo.

Indigenous Farmer / Producer Showcase

This daily farmers market-style showcase highlights Featured Farmers / Producers to sell shelf-stable products or share about their operations. Unfortunately, no fresh produce can be sold at this event. Scholarships are included for selected Featured Farmers / Producers and applications will be considered on a rolling basis. APPLY HERE.


SCHOLARSHIPS:

Scholarships are available for multi-day or single day tickets and must be applied for and granted before purchasing tickets. Applications will be considered on a rolling basis through September 11, and awarded scholarships will recieve a code for 75% off registration. APPLY HERE.

Limited travel reimbursement may be available. Due to limited room block availability, please reserve your room before you hear back about the scholarship.


LODGING:

Ho-Chunk Gaming Wisconsin Dells

Participants may reserve their own rooms with room block 'Intertribal Harvest Gathering'. RV sites are also available at the hotel at a standard rate with no block. Rooms must be reserved by September 16 for room block rates to apply.

Camping

Camping for event participants is available at Neeshla PowWow Grounds near Ho-Chunk Gaming Wisconsin Dells. Porta potties and hand-washing stations provided. Camping tickets ($5 / night) are required and must be purchased through this page. Email agriculture@ho-chunk.com with questions.
