Syrah is one of the world’s most expressive red grapes — shaped as much by place, climate, and culture as by the grape itself. In this class, we’ll taste Syrah from several regions around the world, exploring how the same grape can move from peppery and lifted to dark, structured, and powerful, depending on where and how it’s grown.

Along the way, we’ll talk about the people behind the wines, the landscapes they come from, and the choices in the vineyard and cellar that give Syrah its many personalities.

This class is a great entry point for red-wine lovers curious to go deeper, and just as rewarding for Wine School veterans looking to sharpen their understanding of how grape and place intersect. Expect thoughtful tasting, real context, and plenty of “aha” moments — no intimidation involved.

REFUND POLICY

The Royce will offer a full refund (excluding Eventbrite fees) up to seven days or more in advance of the class date. No other exceptions will be made for refund requests. Tickets can be transferred. CANCELLATION POLICY

The Royce reserves the right to cancel an event in the event of a catastrophe or should reservations remain below the cost necessary to host the event. When you register for a class, you agree to these terms. The Royce commits to notify attendees ASAP and refund the full ticket price to the original payment method through Eventbrite.
