Good Company: A Traveling Dinner Party Across NYC From K&L Wine Merchants

Some of the best wines we've ever had were at someone's kitchen table. Good Company is our attempt to recreate our favorite moments in wine — less an event, more a dinner party. Fun themes, small sizes, and great restaurants.

This is our first installment and we couldn't be more excited. The theme: Burgundy's Best of the Rest. Alternate villages, unexpected wines from top producers, under-appreciated vintages — the bottles the critics overlook and the regulars quietly hoard.

We're bringing a few to get things started. A Coche-Dury Monthelie to remind everyone that the greatest domaine in Meursault makes more than Meursault. A Bachelet-Monnot Maranges to make the case for the southern end of the Côte. And a Sylvain Cathiard Bourgogne — because if anyone can make a villages wine drink like a premier cru, it's him.
