Madeira is many things, including a little confusing. But once you've gotten to know seven stunning wines from Henriques & Henriques with Jake Parrott from Haus Alpenz, here's what you'll know:

1. Madeira made just from the grape on the label is very exciting
2. Madeira is great with food from smoked fish to cheese, apple and more
3. Madeira is FUN, and fun you can enjoy for months, even years, after opening the bottle

Henriques & Henriques is the only surviving Madeira shipper to still own a lot of their own vineyards (vs buying from other growers), which is why covered in 20th Century plantings of Tinta Negre they still use only Verdello in their Verdello, Malvasia in their Malvasia, and so on. Jake will share the story of this historic house and some amazing wine and food pairings:
