The "Red Blend" wine category has taken off in popularity in the past few decades, as wine consumers recognize the power of blending different red wines to create a balanced, complex wine that can please the masses! But it wasn't California that put the red blend on the map! Regions like Bordeaux and the Rhône Valley in France were the real trendsetters, making the perfect red blends that would be copied and emulated around the world.
