You'll enjoy visiting with a very special guest at the tasting table this Saturday from noon-4pm: importer Stephane Defot. Stephane specializes in great value wines from his native France and in keeping things lighthearted. Just try saying his company name with a bad French accent - "Z Wine Gallery" - and we bet you'll smile. 

Stephane has had a lot of delicious new wines hit his warehouse in recent weeks, including some that reach beyond France for delicious value. Join him from noon-4pm on Saturday to try:

Bouza do Rei Albariño Rias Baixas 2025 - Classic Albariño citrus, stone fruit and seaside saltiness from this 100% Albariño grown in Galicia, Spain, not far off the Atlantic Ocean.

Chazette Coteaux Du Giennois Sauvignon Blanc 2025 - From vines just north of Sancerre, this is snappy, fresh, ripe, Sauvignon Blanc with solo sipping levels of fruit and excellent food-friendly minerality.

Rendez Vous A La Bastide IGP Mediterranee Rose 2025 - From Rhone favorite Dom de la Bastide, this is 65% Grenache - expected - and 35% Caladoc - a nice surprise! A crossing of Grenache and Malbec created by Paul Truel in 1958, Caladoc gives this a nice grip and freshness to match all that yummy Grenache fruit.

Bastide Cotes Du Rhone Red Cuvee Figues 2025 - Figues is back! Still 80% Syrah for blue/black fruit and smoky/meaty complexity with 10% Grenache for generosity and 10% Carignan for minerality and a bit of grip. A great cookout and grilling red.

Stephane will have a couple of additional wines to pour, bringing the table to six choices in total. They'll all be on sale during the tasting, making it even easier to take home your favorites and enjoy them with family and friends.
