Cost: $35 PER PERSON / $30 FOR WINE CLUB MEMBERS
Join us for our Drink Like a Sommelier Flight Night, an evening devoted to the bottles that inspire some of San Francisco’s most thoughtful wine professionals.
Hosted by Adam Melendrez of The Rare Wine Co., this tasting highlights five distinctive selections personally chosen by sommeliers from some of the city’s most compelling restaurants. From Burgundy-adjacent Chardonnay and dry Tokaji Furmint to soulful Provençal white, traditional Châteauneuf-du-Pape, and mature Rioja Reserva, it is a chance to taste beyond the expected—and hear what makes each wine a sommelier’s pick.
Gideon Levine, NOPA - 2024 Clos des Rocs Mâcon-Fuissé “En Vers Chanes"—$31" A refined, site-driven Chardonnay from Fuissé, balancing generous orchard fruit with lively acidity and limestone-influenced minerality.
Thierry Lovato, Zuni Café - 2021 Királyudvar Tokaji Furmint Sec—$29 A dry expression of Furmint from Hungary’s historic Tokaj region: brisk, textured, savory, and exceptionally food-friendly.
Thomas Renshaw, Sorrel & Arquet - 2023 Château Simone Palette Blanc—$108 A singular white from Provence’s tiny Palette appellation—layered, herbal, and deeply textured, with the unmistakable character of Château Simone.
Lucas Bierbower, Trestle - 2023 Bois de Boursan Châteauneuf-du-Pape Rouge Tradition—$64 A traditionally styled southern Rhône red with generous dark fruit, garrigue, spice, and the warmth and savory depth that make Châteauneuf-du-Pape so compelling.
Caleb McArthur, Spruce - 2017 Bodegas Hermanos Peciña Rioja Reserva—$37 Classic, gracefully aged Rioja: red cherry and dried fruit, sweet spice, cedar, and polished structure shaped by extended aging in barrel and bottle.
