Originating from a wine grower’s family in Pomerol, France and the niece of the famous flying winemaker, Michel Rolland, Virginie Rolland inherited the passion for the journey from a young age.  Virginie formed her experience and knowledge through her travels and learning the winemaking craft under the tutorage of her uncle Michel.

After following Michel to learn the winemaking process in Napa Valley and Argentina, as well as other wineries in France, Virginie made the move to San Francisco to work as a wine buyer.

Virginie has been established in New York City for the last 13 years, where she is successfully developing her wine consulting company.  In addition, she is currently in charge of sales and marketing in the US market for with her family’s winery, Bodega Rolland Mariflor from Uco Valley, Argentina.
