Coastal Wine Country's annual Mendocino Dog Park benefit bake sale will take place on Sunday, July 5, from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM. Three tables set up outside Harvest at Mendosa’s at 10501 Lansing Street in Mendocino will showcase locally made delectables, including gluten-free options, with all proceeds donated to the Mendocino Dog Park.

Gwen Seymour, co-founder (with Scott Shepley) of the park as currently configured, notes that the bake sale has become a local favorite, with people sometimes waiting in advance of opening to enjoy the best selection.

The Mendocino Dog Park, since 2021, has been welcoming locals and visitors to enjoy two beautiful fenced play areas, one for large dogs and one for small or shy pups. Both foster free-play and socialization opportunities for dogs, while helping to develop stronger community ties for “doggo parents.” The Park is located at 998 School Street on the grounds of the Community Center of Mendocino.

Lending support to this benefit event will be Bodhi, the 120-pound celebrity Giant Alaskan Malamute running for Mayor of Mendocino, who will be present at the polling station adjacent to the bake sale tables. Coincidentally, mayoral voting day is also Sunday, July 5 from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM.

Every day, donations to the Mendocino Dog Park can be made directly via www.communitycenterofmendocino.org/dogpark.
