Here at Vom Fass, we're starting 2024 off with the PERFECT EVENT for fans of bold, flavorful California wines!

On February 8th we'll be welcoming a very special guest - Carla Jefferies, managing director from California's Blue Rock Vineyards for a five-course dinner here at Vom Fass!

For this event, we'll be tasting five different bottlings from the Blue Rock Vineyard and Winery in the Alexander Valley region of California. Each bottle will be paired with an expertly prepared food pairing created by Chef Liz Schuster, longtime friend of the shop as well as owner and executive chef of Tenacious Eats. You may also recognize Chef Liz from past whisky dinners, wine dinners, and chef battles we've had here at the shop.

Each wine will be served with an individual food course designed to complement the wine. We'll be going with a French theme for the food pairings, with the list of courses below. Taste and enjoy while learning more about the wines and the vineyard itself with the vineyard's managing director for a unique and memorable tasting experience!

The five wines and food pairings selected for this event include:

First Course: Baby Blue Blanc

Crisped Parma ham, sweet peach marmalade vol au vent.

Second Course: Baby Blue Rose

Herbed Wild Salmon en Papillote , cured farm fresh egg yolk, baby arugula, baby chicory with a sunflower vinaigrette.

Third Course: Baby Blue "Blend"

Coq au Vin, Baby Blue braised, local hen of the forest mushroom, red cabbage kraut and herbs de Provence Spaetzle.

Fourth Course: Baby Blue Cabernet Sauvignon

Beef fillet au poivre flambéed with cognac, Baby Blue Cabernet, brandy and thyme sauce and gruyere potato duchesse.

Fifth Course: Baby Blue Merlot

Mousse au Chocolat with strawberry balsamic coulis.

Tickets for the event are $150/person and only 24 seats are available. Refund Policy: If notified 72 hours or more before the event we are happy to provide guests with a full refund of your ticket price (Eventbrite will not refund any fees). If you should need to cancel in less than 72 hours, we can either roll your tickets over into a different event or offer you a store credit for the ticket price (which will not include Eventbrite fees).
