Our Festival Events have limited space and sell out quickly. Every event is a la carte so you can attend as much or as little of the festival as you want. Some event details (such as location or exact time) have yet to come so please be aware and watch for updates.
Opening Day! Magical Mystery Tour: 10AM Pick up

This event sells out within minutes each year! Limited to 30 people, you will be whisked away in our shuttle after a pour of nice bubbly and be taken to sites in Big Sur or the Coast rarely visited by the public. We cannot tell you where you are going or what you will eat or drink. It is all a magical mystery indeed!
Opening Night at Ventana Big Sur: 6PM - 9PM

Enjoy Opening Night under the stars and lights of the world-renowned Ventana Big Sur with offerings from 15 Chefs and Culinary Partners accompanied by 25 champagne and wine producers, and live entertainment beyond your sweetest dreams - this will be a night to remember! Panel Tasting - Ventana Big Sur LOFT : 10 AM

Our panel this year is going to be a tribute to Jim Clendenen our good friend and legend in the world of California Wine. The Panel is made up of winemakers who were disciples of Jim’s or worked closely with him through their career in wine.
The wines are picked by the panelists as a representation of wines that were either influenced by Jim personally or had a direct connection to him and Au Bon Climat winery. They will choose one wine they make and one wine from ABC that they love. 10 wines total. Ventana Big Sur Chef John Garcia will prepare a small bite for this panel.

Hiking with Stemware™ : 10AM -3:30PM

Limited to 36 guests, guests are guided through a gentle hike along coastal ridges in the warmth of sunshine and wisp of cool ocean breezes at an undisclosed private property. Stemware is never empty during this adventure. Tickets on sale soon.
Pinot Walkabout at Post Ranch Inn : 12PM – 3PM

The beautiful setting for our annual Pinot Walkabout, is the Sierra Mar Chef’s Garden with 20 wineries and 6 chefs that will make for an intimate and very memorable day. The Annual Sommelier Dinner at The Big Sur Roadhouse : 6PM-10PM

Big Sur Roadhouse is the traditional setting for our team of great Sommeliers showcasing their talents and passion for food and wine pairings. Expect some great surprises; wines that you may never try again. This will be a coursed dinner with multiple wine pairings per course. Each course will be led by a pair of Somms. Limited to 30 people for this incredibly special evening.
