Local Event
As always, the crew here at Vom Fass is hard at work bringing you more great wine dinners in 2026! These dinners are so much fun for us to host, and we hope even more fun for you to join us and eat and drink! In April, we're planning a 5-course meal with each dish designed to highlight different wines from the Benovia Winery!
Joining us to tell you all about the different bottles we'll be featuring will be certified wine expert Shannon Behnen. If you've attended our wine dinners before you'll easily remember Shannon's knowledge of and enthusiasm for the wines and wineries she works with, and this event will be no different.
Think things could get any better? We'll also be joined by the winemaker himself, Mike Sullivan! Mike is a fifth-generation Californian who grew up in Sonoma County and started working in Dick Arrowood’s cellar at Chateau St. Jean at the age of 18. While pursuing his enology degree at Fresno State, Mike also spent his summers farming at Four Brothers, his family’s vineyard. Soon thereafter, Mike served as assistant winemaker under the legendary Helen Turley at Landmark Vineyards, and then at Chappellet. Mike garnered numerous honors—including recognition by Robert Parker’s Wine Advocate as “Wine Personality of the Year”—as head winemaker at Hartford Family Winery before partnering with Joe and Mary to found Benovia in 2005. “At Benovia I only have one job: to create wines that capture the essence of this place and this time, and for me, no wine reflects its place and time more than Pinot Noir.”
We still have the hard (wink) task of deciding which wines will be featuring from Benovia's many offerings, so be sure to check back often for the full list of wines and the dishes will be pairing with each glass!
However, if you want to go ahead and sign up so that you're sure to have your seat reserved, we won't try to stop you. Tickets for this event are only $50/person and include the five food and wine pairings. That's a pretty sweet deal in our opinion, especially when you consider the quality and flavor of these wines! Seating is limited, so if this sounds like your idea of a good time, we hope you won't wait too long to reserve your seats!
Note: If you'd like to be seated with another group who has signed up separately, we'd be grateful if you inform us a day or two prior to the event. This really helps us out when it comes to planning the seating arraignment.
Refund Policy: If notified 72 hours or more before the event we are happy to provide guests with a full refund of your ticket price (Eventbrite will not refund any fees). If you should need to cancel in less than 72 hours, we can either roll your tickets over into a different event or offer you a store credit for the ticket price (which will not include Eventbrite fees). Feel free to contact us with any questions.
