How does one describe Ben Jordan? Perhaps as one part enological explorer, one part alchemist, one part historian, one part craftsman, one part scientist and one part collaborator. Ben Jordan is simultaneously the most knowledgeable and most curious person in the room. In our estimation, he is the world’s leading explorer of the grape Petit Manseng. Like any great explorer, their knowledge is not static—instead it spurs the desire for more discovery. So it is with Ben. He is at the epicenter of three unique winemaking projects that showcase his ability and his thirst for more understanding. He asks big questions with his wines and collaborates with a diverse range of folks to seek answers. The three projects are Common Wealth Crush, Midland Construction and Lightwell Survey.
This evening’s program is a foray into the world according to Ben Jordan. We will taste ten wines in total from the range of projects-six to start with a discussion of each and then four more paired with dishes by Chef Joffre. The seminar, dinner, and pairings are offered for $199 per person plus tax and service charge. Spaces are limited. Reserve your space at the table here.
