Alsatian Style Wine Pairing at Rain Dance Vineyards

Join us Saturday, March 21st as we celebrate our Rain Dance Vineyards Alsatian style wines! You’ll have the opportunity to taste our 2023 Grand Oak Vineyard Riesling and Gewürztraminer in addition to an incredible lineup of other Rain Dance wines. While you’re visiting, we encourage you to pair these Alsatian style wines alongside one of our wood-fired tarte flambées.

What is a Tarte flambée?

Tarte flambée, known throughout Alsace as flammekueche, is another iconic dish that reflects the unique cultural blend of Alsace. Resembling a thin-crust pizza, tarte flambée is made from a thinly rolled dough topped with crème fraîche, thinly sliced onions, and lardons. It is traditionally cooked in a wood-fired oven, resulting in a crispy and slightly charred crust. View recipe here.
