Bartending Competition & Agave Tasting Experience

The Agave Master Competition brings together 32 talented bartenders, premium mezcal and tequila brands, handcrafted ingredients, and an unforgettable tasting experience celebrating creativity behind the bar.

Across six competitive events, bartenders will compete through qualifying rounds, semifinal, and a grand final for cash prizes, recognition, and the title of Agave Master Champion.

Qualifying Rounds

Four qualifying events featuring 8 bartenders per round.

Participants will compete in fast-paced cocktail challenges using:

• 3 different mezcal varieties
• 1 tequila brand
• A curated list of handcrafted ingredients

Challenge Rules

• 4 cocktails total
• Maximum 5 ingredients per cocktail
• 15 minutes to complete the challenge

The top competitors advance toward the semifinal and grand final rounds.

Tie-Breaking Rule

In the event of a tie during qualifying rounds or the grand final, the judges will deliberate collectively and determine the qualifying participant or award placement unanimously.

Additional Rule

Any issue not considered within this document will be reviewed and resolved by the judges or organizers depending on the situation.

Semifinal

The top 16 participants will compete for the final.

Grand Final

The 8 finalists will compete for the championship title and prizes.

Judging Criteria

Competitors will be evaluated using a 100-point system:

• Taste & Balance — 40 pts
• Creativity & Originality — 30 pts
• Presentation & Aesthetics — 20 pts
• Storytelling & Concept — 10 pts
