Emilia-Romagna is considered one of the richest regions of Italy with regards to its gastronomic and wine-making traditions! The region lies in northern Italy, extending from the Apennine Mountains in the south to the Po River in the north. It is one of the most fertile and productive regions of Italy, thanks to the mitigating effect that the Adriatic Sea has on the coastal climate. Although the wines of the region are not as well-known as the wines of neighboring Tuscany, there are definitely some good finds! And we’ll have some traditional Italian treats to pair alongside.
