1776 Revolutionary Dinner and Beverage Pairing
Join us for a fun and flavorful evening celebrating the spirit of 1776! This in-person event features a mouthwatering dinner paired perfectly with a selection of craft beers or sommelier-curated wines. Come hungry and ready to enjoy great food, tasty drinks, and awesome company. Don’t miss out on this unique historical twist to a classic tasting experience. Cheers to good times and great flavors! Price Per Person is $95. Pay a $50 deposit now and the rest at the end of the meal.
MENU:
1st Course: Foraged Greens & Oyster Toast
The Dish: Lightly seared Chesapeake Bay oysters served on artisanal sourdough toast with a lemon-herb butter.
The Nod: Oysters were a cheap, plentiful protein for colonial coastal dwellers.
Side: A salad of bitter field greens (sorrel and arugula) with a sharp cider vinaigrette.

2nd Course: "Valley Forge" Braised Short Rib
The Dish: 48-hour braised beef short rib served over a creamy, stone-ground white corn polenta.
The Nod: This elevates the salted beef and "Indian meal" (cornmeal) staples into a rich, tender centerpiece.
Garnish: Roasted root vegetables (carrots and parsnips) glazed in maple syrup.

3rd Course: Roasted Pumpkin & Johnnycake
The Dish: Savory cornmeal Johnnycakes topped with honey-roasted pumpkin mash and toasted pepitas.
The Nod: Pumpkin and corn were the backbone of the colonial diet when wheat flour was scarce.

4th Course: Madeira-Poached Pears
The Dish: Bosc pears slow-poached in a reduction of Madeira wine, star anise, and cinnamon, served with a dollop of fresh cream.
The Nod: Madeira was the favorite luxury drink of the founding fathers, especially George Washington.
