LDV Winery Owners and Winemakers Curt Dunham and Peggy Fiandaca have announced their September menu themes and dates for their popular “From the LDV Winery Vineyard Kitchen” cooking and wine pairing series. Each virtual event takes place via Facebook Live Thursdays at 4:00 p.m. (MST).
The casual cooking happy hours incorporate interactive preparation discussion, instruction tips, easy recipes (posted prior to each session) and step-by-step meal tutorial. Weekly meals throughout September are as follows:
Thursday, September 3
Crab Cakes, Wine-Poached Salmon, Blender Hollandaise Asparagus, and Individual Key Lime Pies paired with 2018 Rosé
of Grenache
Thursday, September 10
“Nostalgia Kicked Up” featuring “Not Your Mom’s Meatloaf,” Whipped Potatoes with Mushroom Gravy, and Individual Strawberry Cream Parfaits served with 2015 Decade (Rhone red wine blend)
Thursday, September 17
Chicken Piccata with Lemon Caper Sauce, Parmesan Roasted Zucchini and Potatoes, and Fruit Salad Limoncello complemented by 2015 Sky Island Viognier
Thursday, September 24
“Let’s Picnic” - featuring Walnut and Blue Cheese Grapes, Crab Salad in Cucumber Cups, and Gazpacho Shooters paired with 2015 Grenache
To join each complimentary class, guests can log onto the LDV Winery Facebook page. Participants are invited to “drink along” by purchasing the featured wines. Those that order the entire selection of wines in the series will receive 10% discount, and wine club members receive enhanced discounts.
