Nestled between Burgundy and Switzerland, the Jura boasts a winemaking tradition as rich and complex as its landscape.

During this class, you’ll uncover the distinctive characteristics of Jura’s indigenous grape varieties, including Savagnin and Poulsard, as well as the more familiar Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. Learn about the region’s traditional winemaking methods, such as sous voile aging, which imparts the signature oxidative style found in many of Jura’s wines.

Participants my choose to attend in person at the Capital Wine School or online via Zoom. Online participants may pick their samples up at the Capital Wine School between 12pm – 5pm on April 18, or may request shipping for an additional fee.

Important: Any requests for shipping must be received at least 7 days prior to class, and all registrations for virtual attendance must be received by close of business the Monday prior to the class.

Additional information regarding curbside pickups will be emailed a day or two prior to class.
