The Wine House is thrilled to welcome Hervé Dantan, Chef de Cave (Head Winemaker) at Champagne Lanson. The holidays are approaching and it’s time to taste Champagnes!
Champagne Lanson is one of the most recognizable of the big Champagne houses. Founded in 1760, Lanson is also one of the oldest houses, and has achieved worldwide recognition, most notably as an official supplier to the British Royal Family since the early 1900s. Additionally, since 2001, Lanson has been the official Champagne at the iconic Wimbledon tennis championships.
With deep roots in Champagne, Lanson has access to more than 100 different crus, 50% of which are Grand Crus and Premier Crus. The house cultivates 57 hectares of its own land, 16 of which are run according to the principles of organic and biodynamic viticulture. It’s one of the largest sustainably farmed estates in the Champagne region. The Lanson style is to vinify according to the original principles of Champagne, with minimal malolactic fermentation. Lanson wines are known for their elegance, freshness, vitality and ability to stand the test of time.
The tasting will include the 95 point NV Lanson Organic Brut Green Label, an organic and biodynamic Champagne from Lanson’s own Malmaison Estate, which is situated in the heart of the Vallée de la Marne. This ‘real-life testing ground’ is farmed using sustainable and innovative viticultural methods that encourage biodiversity, and is both AB and Demeter certified. Lanson is one of the few major Champagne houses to include an organic, biodynamic wine in its range. In addition to the Organic Brut Green Label, attendees will enjoy their non-vintage Brut and Brut Rosé Champagnes, as well as two stunning vintage Champagnes.

All champagnes will be available for purchase at a 10% discount after the event.
Cheese and charcuterie will be served.
