Tamela Julia Gordon (she/her) is an author, freelance writer, editor, and passionate communal care advocate. For several years she was reliant on crowdfunding for medical and housing needs. Tamela eventually turned her “cozy” Little Havana apartment into a makeshift retreat, fundraising airfare for guests to stay with her and explore self-care, healing, and joy. Their stories, and more are featured in her groundbreaking book, “Hood Wellness.” She currently spends her time in Harlem, USA and is working on her second book.”
