Raised on a South Dakota farm, Jerry Lohr was one of the early pioneers to realize the potential of Monterey and Paso Robles for growing high quality grapes, and this year is celebrating 50 years of his first winery, in San Jose - Shaune has been alongside him half that time and last year celebrated her 25th anniversary with the winery!
Modern Steak revolutionized the steak house, serving only ranch-specific Alberta Beef. They know their farmers and ranchers personally and respect the hard work they put into producing their beef. It means that their meat is pasture-raised from animals without the use of any antibiotics or hormones and with an eye to taste and quality.
We’re at Modern Steak’s impressive and beautiful Southport location - so join us for a welcome reception with both a white and a red, followed by a superb four-course meal, each course carefully paired from J. Lohr’s range (and one course has two pairings!) to complement the dishes and their flavours.
