WINE NOTES & BOTTLE PRICES
2018 Journeyman "Egg" Rosé ~ $24
(Sonoma County) Winemaker's Notes: Hand harvested from one of Sonorma County's finest vineyards, these grapes are cold-pressed then cold fermented in an egg-shaped concrete fermenter. The concrete egg, considered nature's perfect shape, produces a gentle vortex that suspends and stirs the wine unlike in a barrell. the result is beautiful vibrancy, minerality and creaminess that allows the full expression of the vineyard.

2016 Stolpman "L'Avion" Roussanne ~ $30
(Ballard Canyon) Winemaker's Notes: 90% Roussanne + 10% Chardonnay. It goes through malolactic fermentation and it is bottled unfiltered. 2016 was a smooth, moderate vintage and the old vines steadily ripened the Roussanne. In the late 1930s, teenage cattle rancher Anchor Johnson and his buddies landed their rickety plane down the straight chute where Roussanne is now planted. The young men would park the plane under the oak tree at the end of the dirt strip. Roussanne rows now run lengthwise along the old runway, creating the inspiration for the lanes on the L’Avion label. Wine destined for L’Avion must go through three cuts. First, only the two older blocks of Roussanne are eligible for L’Avion. Then, only the prettiest, evenly “Rousse” - or sun tanned - clusters are selected by Cuadrilla. At last, only the favorite barrels are included for L’Avion. At the end of the day, L’Avion accounts for 25-33% of the total Roussanne production each year.

2013 Saxon Brown "Fighting Brothers Cuvée" Zinfandel ~ $28
(Sonoma Valley) Review by The Wine Advocate: 93 Points. This wine displays notes of Provençal garrigue, pepper, kirsch liqueur and black currants in a complex, intense style. This is very Mediterranean in character, but full-bodied, hedonistic, and just a total joy to smell, taste and appreciate. Drink it over the next 4-6 years.

2016 Happy Canyon "Piocho" Bordeaux Red Blend ~ $26
2015 NOTES:(Santa Barbara) The flagship Estate wine that is the perfect blend of the five principal Bordeaux varietals based in Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, and Merlot, with the perfect amounts of Malbec, and Petit Verdot. This wine represents the history and heritage of Piocho, "Where two rivers meet and go to heaven." The wine has an attractive and seductive nose of sugarplum, black cherry and red clay with hints of toast and charcoal. On the palate the wine is bright, fresh and savory with flavors of red plum, and raspberry. The finish is lovely and lingering full of fine tannins and a whisper of earthiness and spice. It is stunning to drink today and will deliciously pair well with grilled red meat. The wine will age beautifully for the next ten to fifteen years.

Pina Colada
A decadent blend of pineapple juice, rum and coconut cream. Shaken and served on the rocks.
