This year we're doing something extra special for Restaurant Week! Chef and I put together an eclectic international menu showcasing the cuisine of nine different countries in nine different courses. Jamaica is represented with spicy jerk chicken, China is represented with glazed pork ribs, Spain is represented with paella, Italy is represented with gnocchi and truffles, Argentina is represented with grilled skirt steak (plus our unique and wine-friendly twist on traditional chimichurri sauce), Mexico is represented with salsa Veracruz snapper, USA is represented with New Orleans bread pudding, France is represented with a bleu cheese course, and finally, Germany is represented with black forest cake. Wine bottle prices to go are at the end of this announcement if you're interested.
Cost is $30 for a 3-course dinner and includes one choice from all three categories below. Wine pairings for all three courses are also available for $15. If you don't want to order the wine pairing, wines by the glass or bottle, cocktails and beer will also be available.

2012 Saxon Brown " Fighting Brothers Cuvée" Semillon ~ $15
(Sonoma County) Winemaker's Notes: Exotic notes of white peach, citrus blossom and fig permeate this incredibly lively, refreshing and food-friendly Semillon. The crisp, high-toned fruit flavors are beautifully supported by the wonderfully rich, slightly yeasty mouthfeel. The wine finishes with tremendous length and finesse, ending with a flourish of floral accents.
2014 Mauritson "Dry Creek Valley" Zinfandel ~ $22
(Dry Creek Valley) Winemaker's Notes: A mélange of black and red fruit jumps out of the glass of the 2014 Dry Creek Valley Zinfandel. Notes of cinnamon, baking spice and dark chocolate add complexity to the candied fruit. The entry is soft and lush, exhibiting flavors of rich oak and blackberry cobbler. The mouthfeel is seamless from start to finish, indicative of the perfectly integrated tannin and acid. Please enjoy this wine for the next 7-10 years.
2014 Bokisch Tempranillo ~ $19
(Lodi) Winemaker's Notes: 99% Tempranillo + 1% Graciano. Deep Purple. That is what meets your eye as you twirl this gorgeous wine in your glass. Aromas of Bing cherry and ripe Santa Rosa plums combine with hints of cedar smoke, sage and cocoa powder. The 2014 Tempranillo exhibits a mélange of dark berries on the palate with dark chocolate, carob and tart raspberry plum jam. The beautifully structured tannins make this a perfect wine for aging in the Spanish tradition of Crianza, Reserva and Gran Reserva. Enjoy now and for many years into the future! Pair with peppercorn crusted filet mignon with wild mushrooms port sauce or a traditional whole roasted chicken seasoned with smoked paprika and preserved lemons. 92 Points, Wine Enthusiast.
2016 J Vineyards Pinot Noir ~ $17
(California) Winemaker's Notes: Aromatic notes of exotic spice, cherry preserves and black tea. The palate is plush, jammy and ripe with flavors of spicy black pepper, cola and plum. Enjoy this wine with roasted leg of lamb with a balsamic-fig reduction or cranberry-glazed roast turkey breast with creamy mushroom risotto.
2016 Justin Cabernet Sauvignon ~ $24
(Paso Robles) winemaker's Notes: Deep purple ruby core, slightly lighter at the rim showing slight staining on the glass. Aromatic with black cherry and blackcurrant fruit, attractive oak and complex cigar box notes with cocoa and a subtle purple floral note. Dry, moderate plus bodied, with ripe blackcurrant, black cherry and a touch of red fruit brightness on the entry. Balanced oak, vanilla spice and brioche notes mixed with classic savory cabernet varietal cues mingle on the mid-palate. The finish is moderately long and fresh with sustained rounded fruit and lingering baking spice balanced nicely by firm, smooth tannins. This is a perfect go-to red that’s great with variety of pairings from pasta Bolognese to Wagyu burgers, or try it with a variety of freshly baked wood-fired pizzas. Its versatility is amazing.
2017 Rombauer Sauvignon Blanc ~ $22
(Napa Valley) Winemaker's Notes: This wine is brilliant pale yellow with a bright green hue. It exudes aromas of keylime, mango, papaya and white nectarine with a hint of fresh-cut grass. The palate is fresh and enticing, as grapefruit, pineapple and passion fruit intertwine with Meyer lemon and lime, making the mouth water. Balanced yet lively acidity lingers on the palate inviting another taste. Boxwood on the finish gives the wine length and vibrant freshness.
NV Yalumba Antique Tawny (375ml) ~ $19
(Australia) Winemaker's Notes: This outstanding old dessert wine is deep tawny in color, with an aroma featuring dried fruits, caramel and spices with elegant brandy spirit and hints of wood aged rancio. The palate is richly flavored featuring chocolate and caramel with fine spirit characters and persistent aftertaste of dried fruits and nutty nuances. The texture is sweet and smooth with roundness from the wood maturation and brandy spirit filling out the middle palate and providing the firm, drying finish.
2014 Margerum "Late Harvest" Sauvignon Blanc ~ $24
(Santa Barbara County) Winemaker's Notes: Nose of juicy fruit, honey and ripe melon. Pleasantly sweet yet not cloying attack of more ripe fruit nicely balanced with rich Meyer lemon acidity in the evolution and long finish. Will age gracefully through 2020 developing nectar-like aromatics and becoming richer and even more honeyed. A well balanced dessert wine that pairs well with fruit salad, custardy desserts like crème brûlée, or salty cheeses.
