Day by Day

Monday, April 22 - Leave the USA on an overnight flight to Rome.

Tuesday, April 23 - Transfer on your own from the Rome airport to the Hotel Napoleon in Historic Old Town - one of the most picturesque neighborhoods in Rome. The Airport Train "Leonardo Express" terminates at the Termini Train Station just 5 blocks from the hotel. Relax or go exploring, the Colosseum and Trevi Fountain are nearby. Welcome dinner: Gather in the lobby at 6:45 pm this evening for a welcome dinner to meet your hosts and fellow travelers.

 Wednesday, April 24 - Leave for Assisi. After your included breakfast meet the coach with your luggage at 10:15 for a short drive to Merumalia Wine Resort for wine tasting and a light snack. On our way to Assisi, we will stop for 2 hours in Frascati City Center for lunch on your own. Then it is a scenic 2-1/2 hour ride to Assisi where we will stay in the historical city center at Hotel Minerva for 3 nights.

Thursday, April 25th - After your included breakfast meet the coach at 10:00 AM for a 50-minute drive to Rossbastardo Winery for cheese making, Olive Oil tasting & Wine tasting, and Lunch. We will leave and drive 50 minutes to return back to Hotel Minerva where dinner is on your own.

Friday, April 26 - After your included breakfast we will meet the coach at 9:30 am and at 10:30 am Perugia Chocolate Factory for a Truffle-making class. Yum! Afterward, we will have a 30-minute ride back to the Hotel Minerva, where you will have time to stroll around the wonderful city and the UNESCO sites.

Saturday, April 27 - Leave for Ancona. Pack your bags, after an included breakfast we will leave for Ancona. The coach will leave at 10 AM for a 1-hour 25-minute ride to Tenutal Dell’Ugolino Winery for wine tasting and Lunch. At 2:45 pm we will leave for a short 50-minute ride to our scenic SeePort Hotel for 3 nights

Sunday, April 28 - Today is a free day to relax and enjoy the beautiful city of Ancona and the seaside. So much to see: Cattedrale di San Ciriaco, National Archaeological Museum, Mole Vanvitelliana, Spiaggia del passetto (beach), Parco del Cardeto, and more.

Monday, April 29 - After included breakfast meet the coach at 10:00 AM for a 1- hour drive to Madonnabruna Winery for tastings with an unforgettable Lunch with a wonderful host. One hour back to the hotel where dinner is on your own.

Tuesday, April 30 - Leave for Verona. Pack your bags, and after an included breakfast meet the coach at 9 AM for our drive north to Verona. After a 1- hour 15-minute drive, we will stop at Crespaia Winery for wine tasting and light snack. We will board the coach at 12:30 pm and drive a 2-1/2 hour drive to Modena, Italy for a 2-hour break where you can walk, explore, or get something to eat. We will board the bus for a short 1 hour and a 30-minute drive to Verona and our home for the next 4 nights' stay at Relais Empire Hotel.

 Wednesday, May 1 - After your included breakfast meet the coach at 10 AM for a 30-minute drive, with glorious views, to the Enoteca Della Valpolicella Winery for tastings and a light snack. At 12:30 the coach will leave for Roberto Mazzi, our last Winery of this tour, for tastings and lunch with a beautiful mountain backdrop. Return time is 1/2 hour. You will have time to explore Verona and bid farewell to the bus.

Thursday, May 2  - Free Day - Today will be a great day to book an excursion, travel to Milan, or Venice, or just use the Verona card (that is included) to see the sites in Verona. Ask Debi about a Hop-On-Hop off bus, a Gelato, or Pasta making classes. She can help you make this a memorable day.

Friday, May 3 - Today we will take a train ride to Lake Garda and have lunch to enjoy each other’s company. Take the train back to Verona and return to our hotel for the final night of this Unique Italian Countryside Wine Tour.
