Fast forward to the present and Sicily is known for being one of the most dynamic and attention-worthy regions in Europe. Italy boasts hundreds of indigenous grape varietals, and the country’s largest island is home to more than a few. These unique varieties, combined with an almost perfect climate and a focus on quality production means there is no time like the present to get to know these wines a little better.
