For this edition of Virtual Vino, I’m excited to offer a shared wine tasting experience as we enjoy wines from Byron Blatty Wines of Los Angeles, CA. Byron Blatty produces limited-edition wines of exceptional quality, featuring vineyards located in Los Angeles County. Joining us for Virtual Vino are Mark and Jenny Blatty who founded Byron Blatty in 2014. Inspired by the story of Napa’s original vintners, who challenged the French with their determination to create world-class wines in a previously unproven region, the Blattys had only one rule that would guide them on their endeavor to start a commercial winery: The wines had to be from their hometown of Los Angeles!

This tasting set is only available for residents of Los Angeles County, as the wines are hand-delivered. Shipping them is not an option. The wine tasting set will comfortably accommodate up to 2 people (5 oz of each of the 4 wines). In total you will receive the equivalent of just under a bottle of wine.

Your $60 CLASS + WINE ticket includes:

-Four Byron Blatty wine samples: 2019 Aurora (Sauvignon Blanc, Sémillon, Viognier), 2017 Agenda (Syrah, Tannat), 2018 Tremor (Grenache, Syrah, Merlot), and 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon.

-A tasting sheet: we will review my four-step tasting method which covers how to look, smell, and taste the wines. And at the end we’ll vote on our favorites!

I hope you join us as we learn about the history of winemaking in Los Angeles, and sip on some good Angeleno juice!
