A Wine Tour of France, Part 2 ~ The Loire Valley and Bordeaux

We continue our tour of France with Kevin Ostrowski and, during Part 2 of our series, we will explore two of France’s other major rivers that are also known for fabulous wines. The regions of the Loire River Valley are known for stately châteaus and signature wines, from Chenin Blanc to Cabernet Franc and Sauvignon Blanc. Next, we are off to Bordeaux and to the Gironde, Garrone, and Dordogne Rivers for probably the most well-known region for fine wine in France. Most in the wine world can rattle off the Grand Cru’s and we will certainly highlight them and their signature blends, in addition to other delicious wines.

And same as for our last tour, some wines in these areas can be EXPENSIVE – the list has a few of those (beyond most of our disposable incomes) but this is information and learning about how much one might expect to pay for what are considered the best wines. It’s nice to find that those are available in PA. And, those price points help us appreciate even more the really good ones we can find at more reasonable price points!
