About the Appellation

na is the newest wine region in Croatia. Located in Southern Dalmatia in the Dubrovnik-Neretva County, Komarna hugs the coast of the Adriatic Sea across the water from the Pelješac Peninsula. Composed of seven modern wineries, all certified organic, Komarna is planted primarily with Plavac Mali and Pošip. Tasting rooms perched above vineyards cascading down stony hillsides, boast enviable views of the glittering sea. Komarna is a quiet, wildly beautiful area, worthy of exploring in person, though for now, we’ll settle for tasting in our glasses.
