Virtual Tasting Premier Host

Join us on Thursday, June 17th at 6pm PT for our final virtual event of 2021, as we taste through five wines from female-owned producer, Camins 2 Dreams. These wines come from the Lompoc area of Santa Barbara wine country in California, where the winemakers' focus is on cool climate Syrah and Grüner Veltliner natural wines. As we enter Pride month, we're proud to highlight the wines of Camins 2 Dreams, an LGBTQ+ and BIPOC-owned company.
The tasting includes five small format (2 oz) pours of each wine -- one Grüner Veltliner and four different Syrahs. Guiding us through the event will be guest speaker and one of our own WWSLA Professional Members, Brianne Cohen. A certified sommelier, Brianne will take us through the wines using her four-step tasting method, covering how to look, smell and taste the wines. And at the end we’ll vote on our favorite!

THE WINEMAKERS:
Mireia Taribó and Tara Gomez are a team of two winemakers, wife and wife, whose paths first crossed in 2006 through their work in the wine industry. Their friendship grew through wine and travels, which also sparked their love. Their journey of friendship, love, and wine now continues as together they found their dream winery, Camins 2 Dreams. The winemakers will not be participating during the virtual tasting.
OUR GUEST SOMMELIER:
Brianne Cohen, certified sommelier, is the principal in a lifestyle brand and business based out of Los Angeles, offering her services as an event producer, wine educator, and wine writer. Since COVID hit, Brianne has educated and entertained over 2,500 people through her “Virtual Vino” online wine classes, both public and private.
