A Survey of Riesling (Not All Sweet!)

 

This week, we will taste three rieslings from Richter, a Mosel producer. There are three levels of sweetness, a QBA (Estate) off-dry Kabinett and relatively sweet Spatlese. This will be informative for those of you who think all rieslings are syrupy sweet; they are not! If you are looking for something to pair these wines with, look for something spicy (not necessarily hot) -- Indian or Thai for example. These wines also might be appropriate for Thanksgiving.
