WSET’s Level 2 Award in Wines is a beginner- to intermediate-level qualification exploring wines, suitable for industry professionals and wine enthusiasts.

This qualification is intended for beginners wishing to learn about a wide range of wines or those seeking to build on the introductory knowledge gained with the WSET Level 1 Award in Wines. You’ll gain knowledge of the principal and regionally important grape varieties of the world, the regions in which they are grown, and the styles of wine they produce. Through a combination of tasting and theory, you’ll explore the factors that impact style and quality and learn how to describe these wines with confidence.

The WSET L2 Award in Wines is a 5-class course that will be taught LIVE on the following Tuesday evenings from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm: May 21, 28, June 4, 11, and 18 with the IN-PERSON EXAM ON JUNE 25

17 Guided Learning Hours (including one hour for the final examination) and 11 hours of private study. Again, the exam takes 1 hour and consists of 50 multiple-choice questions. Those who pass the exam receive the WSET Level 2 Award in Wines, an internationally recognized credential in the wine industry.

NOTE: Before the 1st class the WSET L2 Award in Wines Study Kit, and Specifications will be available for students to pick up prior to the 1st session. Also, a ½ hour Zoom Introduction Meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, May 14th to familiarize students with course objectives, study practices, and exam requirements
