The northern Italian region of Piedmont has been valued as one of the most prestigious winemaking regions in the world. The noble Italian grape, Nebbiolo, calls Piedmont home and is the key grape in the hugely popular Barolo and Barbaresco wines of the region. But Piedmont's story doesn't end there. Native grapes such as Dolcetto, Grignolino, and Barbera are well-established in any respectable Italian restaurant and famed winemakers have worked to restore plantings of truly special native grapes such as Arneis and Ruché to the great excitement of the consumer and sommelier communities.
Join us for a casual seated wine class where we will talk about the history, regions, and styles of wine in Piedmont, Italy at Planet Wine.
