Learn the tricks to making your very own delicious pies with Valeri Lucks, Chief Executive Pie Officer of Honeypie Cafe and Bakeshop.

Learn the secrets to making your very own delicious pies with Valeri Lucks, Chief Executive Pie Officer of Honeypie Cafe and Bakeshop.

Held inside our bakeshop kitchen at our sister cafe, Palomino, our hands-on pie class will guide you through a variety of different aspects of pie making and give you a peek into the life of a bakeshop. In each of our classes you will bake your own pie(s) and treats to take home. There will be lots of room for questions and answers during each class so come with all of your crust conundrums and filling inquiries. Classes are approximately 2.5-3 hours and are limited to 12 people. Class requires that you stand most of the time and work at a table in a working professional kitchen - please let us know if you need any kind of accommodation to attend and we will do our best!

This session is a hands-on lesson in making classic butter pie crust and our favorite berry pies. We will cover the how-to's, what pitfalls to avoid, and the tricks to making a flaky, perfect crust. You will make your own dough, roll out your crust for two (2) - 8" pies. We will then create berry pie fillings while learning the tips to making the fillings just right! We will assemble the pies using a crumb topping, which will include a lesson in creating various crumbs to bake with. We do bake the pies during class. We have lots of time for questions and answers. In the end, you will have delicious pie to take home to show off your new pie making skills. This class is great for those of all skill levels!

Tickets for class includes all of your ingredients, your finished baked goods, a recipe with tips and tricks and a drink ticket for one (1) tap beer, well cocktail, glass of wine or NA beverage from our bar.

(Please note, we often have wait lists for our pie classes. Tickets to class are non-refundable if you cancel without more than 72 hours notice. If you need to cancel within 72 hours of class, you are welcome to email us, and we will offer your spot to a person on the waiting list. If it is taken by someone waiting, we will refund your ticket. You are also welcome to give your ticket to a friend and they can attend in your place.)
