Story of Soil and Chef Abbi Merriss

Story of Soil’s owner and winemaker Jessica Gasca is a leading winemaker in Santa Barbara County, focusing on what she calls “Wine made with Gratitude.” Gasca specializes in small production, single vineyard, single varietal wine, crafted with minimal intervention, with the intention to highlight the place.

Chef Abbi Merriss was a James Beard Award semifinalist from 2016-2020 at Indianapolis Indiana’s acclaimed restaurant, BlueBeard. According to Conde Nast Traveler, Merriss’ new Midwestern Cuisine “redefined what it means to cook in the Corn Belt,” while Food and Wine noted that she was primarily responsible for making Indianapolis “one of the most exciting American food scenes.”

Story of Soil and Chef Merriss come together at Seven Acre for a one-of-a-kind five-course dinner that showcases the talents of both winemaker and chef.

Bar opens at 5pm. Dinner at 6pm.
