Cuisine Noir Magazine is kicking off its Summer and Fall Tasting Series with The Wine Noire and Amawele's South African Kitchen to bring a taste of South Africa to the Bay Area.
South African natives Pam and Wendy Drew have taken Bay Area foodies by storm with traditional classics to include Bunny Chow, Chicken Chow, and Durban Curry Roti Wraps. Their kiosk-style restaurant is a weekday lunch favorite with smells that travel all the way down Mission Street. http://www.amawelessouthafricankitchen.com.
Alicia Maria started The Wine Noire to increase the exposure of black and Latino-owned wine labels. Her current portfolio includes South African wines from One World, Seven Sisters and M'Hudi.
We are bringing Amawele's and The Wine Noire together for a delicious food and wine pairing that will transport your taste buds to South Africa; all without a passport!
