About Jared Rouben
Jared Rouben, President and Brewmaster of Moody Tongue Brewing Company, launched the culinary brewery in the Pilsen neighborhood of Chicago during the summer of 2014, using a chef’s mindset to highlight flavors and aromatics in balanced beers. A graduate of Washington University in St. Louis, the Culinary Institute of America in New York, and the Siebel Diploma Course in Chicago, Rouben also holds the esteemed positions as faculty at the Siebel Institute and examiner for the Master Cicerone program. Rouben has worked in world-renown kitchens, serving on the kitchen brigade of the Michelin Star Martini House in Napa Valley and as an expediter on Thomas Keller’s team at Three Michelin Star Per Se in New York City. Rouben previously served as Brewmaster at the Goose Island Brewpubs, developing the brewery’s Farmers’ Market Series and Chef Collaboration Series, ultimately building the foundation for the “culinary brewing” philosophy showcased at Moody Tongue today.
