There are cool-climate sites to the west that can give wines of verve, delicacy and great zest. And scorching-hot and dry sites inland to the east that deliver huge fruit, body and fun. You’ll find winegrowers seeking to recreate the magic of France’s Southern Rhone. And those looking for a new take on Napa, Bordeaux – heck, even some Italian stuff is going on out here!
We’ll explore the region, cover a bit of history, and get to know 7 fascinating wines while snacking on wine-friendly treats and creating plenty of opportunity for conversation and questions. And dig into the always contentious question: how are you really supposed to pronounce “Paso Robles”? It’s not quite the same as spending a few weeks dropping into Paso’s more than 200 tasting rooms! But it will definitely be tasty fun.
