The event on January 29th is actually a celebration. Not only will you be tasting the top eleven Pennsylvania wines as judged by our PA Wine Society panel, but we will be doing this for the 20th time. I still remember the beginning – dedicated, excited, hesitant, hopeful. We experienced all of those emotions as we sought to recognize and encourage the Pennsylvania wine industry.

The changes and improvements over 20 years have been remarkable. I know you will want to try the current top wines. While you taste you will hear from winery representatives who will talk about how the wines were produced and perhaps refer to the development of their wines over those 20 years.

We will also award our unique and beautifully designed plaque to the winery that made the highest-scoring wine. The plaque can be displayed at the winery for the following year.

The wine of alternate color (if a red wins, the next highest scoring white, etc.) will get a small frame plaque. The remaining nine wines will receive certificates for framing as well. 

A list of the top eleven wines (in alphabetical order) follows. I know you will want to join us for this event at the Harrisburg Hilton on Sunday, January 29th at 2 p.m. when we reveal the top wine and celebrate each of these wines with the winery teams. RESERVATION DEADLINE is Tuesday, January 24th at 5 p.m.
