Oyster Farm Tour & Shucking Lesson

Cost: $75

Learn the process of farming delicious local oysters at a working aquaculture farm. The tour follows the life cycle of an oyster from the spawning process through the grow-out phase as well as the gear used to farm oysters. Your experience concludes with an oyster shucking lesson and a beachfront sample tasting of our Southold Shindig Oysters!

Things to know about the farm tour:

Our farm tours operate rain or shine, so please dress and plan accordingly. Please wear comfortable shoes that can handle uneven surfaces, mud, gravel, grass, and rain. We recommend boots or sneakers. Heels or flip flops are not permitted. The tour requires about a quarter mile of walking. We are unable to accommodate visitors under the age of 14 at the farm. Tour tickets are nonrefundable.
