Spring feels like it’s finally sprung for good now, so this weekend’s tastings feature five wines to enjoy as the weather warms and – in the case of the Brunello – for years to come. Join us Friday from 3-7pm and Saturday from noon-4pm to sample:

Steininger Cabernet Sauvignon Rose 2023 - You might not think of Austria as rose country - and certainly not Cabernet country! - but this suggests otherwise. Crisp, bursting with wild berry and currant fruit, and with a just-right dash of fresh herb.

Eugene Carrel Savoie Blanc Jongieux 2022 - The first of two Alpine whites, this is from the French Alps and delivers outstanding texture, crisp fruit and wild mountain herb aromas and flavors that just don't quit.

Cantina Terlano - Pinot Grigio Tradition 2023 - The small farmers (average 3.2 acres each) who grow this Dolomite Grigio brought in lovely grapes in 2023 and the winery lets the fruit shine through. Zesty, crisp, nicely textured.

Roucas Toumba Vin De Pays De Mediterranee Pichot Roucas 2020 - Rich and easygoing Grenache, Syrah and very old-vine Carignan from Vacqueyras and lower down on the Rhone plain, this will shine with lamb and all by itself!

Mastrojianni Brunello di Montalcino 2019 - Our first 2019 Brunello in the shop is a 95 point winner! Plenty of richness and fruit here perfectly balanced by the structure and freshness that has everyone so excited about the 2019 Brunello crop.
