Wine has played an outsized role in the life of Napa Valley winemaker Steve Reynolds— from the time he was a child, observing his father’s near-obsession with wine, to when he was a teenager, tasting his way across Europe, to the moment he quit his dental practice to become a full-time winemaker.
Persistence is not only the name of the Steve's flagship Bordeaux-style red— it also embodies his ethos. For 26 years, throughout a land dispute, the unglamorous work of transforming a dilapidated chicken ranch into a thriving vineyard, and lean years spent establishing his reputation, Steve has been nothing if not persistent.
Reynolds Family Winery is on the east side of the Silverado Trail and the vineyard team is boots on the ground every day. Steve’s winemaking philosophy is that there is no right or wrong, no “pure” or “unpure” style: It's simply about one glass inviting another.
Each wine accompanied by a savory food pairing. Limited, socially-distanced indoor / outdoor seating available.
2019 Corotto Vineyard Chardonnay
100% Chardonnay. Refreshing, with notes of butterscotch and toasted marshmallow on the nose alongside notes of bright green apple and Meyer lemon zest on the palate. It has balanced acidity that is married perfectly with a beautiful mineral finish due to the time the grapes spend aging in concrete. 585 cases.
2019 Persistence Vineyard Sauvignon Blanc
100% Sauvignon Blanc. A soft honeysuckle perfume tickles and tantalizes. You’ll find this wine’s richly textured, luscious palate and weight unique for Napa Valley Sauvignon Blanc. Flavors are mineral driven, almost petrol but balanced with bracing acidity, apple, white peach and nectarine highlights. 300 cases.
2018 Persistence Red Meritage

Dense, medium-full-bodied and supple on the palate. Chocolate babka and pastry-like oak on the finish. 1073 cases.
2017 Estate Cabernet Sauvignon
Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot. Rich aromatics of dense, tightly-focused black cherry and star anise mingling with subtle cedar, leather and candied red fruit. Silky and elegant on the palate, with well-integrated flavors of ripe blackberry and warm baking spice and a hint of bittersweet chocolate. 1330 cases.
